Mokhada
Project - Health Camp… One step for Healthy Life
It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver... Mahatma Gandhi By taking inspiration from the above lines, Parivartan Mahila Santha organized medical camp for the people staying in remote area of the Mokhada Block of Thane district on 2nd October 2013. Very good response was received. More than 250 patients from the Ghanwal as well as from nearby hamlets took benefit of the camp. Dr. Sujit Nilegaokar from Pune along with team of expert doctors came from Pune, especially to conduct this camp and helped us with their expertise Parivartan Mahila Santha is working in Mokhada block of Thane district for last 5 months. We are working on village development issues with the villagers. While conducting meetings with them, villagers had expressed to have medical facilities at their village as they have to travel around 25 to 30 KM for getting medical help. Sometime it becomes very difficult for them to access these facilities and to get medicines for minor illness like cough, cold etc. So it was very important for the organization to organize medical camp for these villagers. |
